In 2008, it won the Water Craft of the Year award from Water Craft World magazine, which represents a fair evaluation of this model. The FX Cruiser SHO is the WaveRunner flagship model. The Cruiser Concept can be counted as one of the most unique innovations in the PWC industry, providing maximum comfort and a highly stable riding position. This is attested to by the selection of the bronze colour that shines radiantly on the water. Special Features Features Supporting Luxury Performance: Yamaha has given this model a special heart and body in order to achieve luxury and performance at a high level. The strong engine is the source of power that is instantaneously available, enabling high speed cruising with power to spare. Once the super high output engine brings you up to the desired cruising speed, the sea in front of you is a highway that is yours alone. The FX Hull has been designed for maximum cruising performance, stability and comfort, and provides a depth of reassuring cruising enjoyment when cruising with family or friends, featuring a riding capacity of up to three, which is sure to create great memories. Of course, if you desire, it can be easily ridden like a PWC used in sporting competitions. The amount of outstanding Yamaha hull technology integrated into the body is sure to make it easy for you to approach the infinite potential of a PWC. Furthermore, the extraordinary light weight of the next generation NanoXcel SMC body is another important detail of the specifications for this refined model. Cruise Assist/No Wake Mode/Reverse Traction Control: Yamaha has utilised its wealth of knowledge about the relationship between marine sports, people and society and its creativity to create unique electronic control functions. Cruise Assist maintains engine RPM at the desired level to free the driver from always having to hold the throttle at that setting while cruising. In addition, this also makes it easy to maintain a constant speed when towing a skier or a wakeboard. The speed can be adjusted to the desired level with the handy control switch. The setting is released when the throttle lever is returned for a split second. When going through No Wake Zones in harbours or channels, the accelerator must be held at a very low level for a long period of time. With the No Wake Mode, the speed is automatically maintained at approximately 8 kilometres per hour. Reverse Traction Control is used to control engine RPM in order to optimise pump efficiency when moving in reverse. This prevents excessive noise and power due to the accelerator being turned too far, and in turn facilitates moving in reverse at the comfortable speed. Ergonomic Design: Cruiser Concept - Enjoying high performance in comfort. The seat surface, steering and foot grips have all been ergonomically designed so that the rider can sit in the most relaxed position, and a 4-position tilt steering column has been provided that can be adjusted to the desired position according to the build of the rider. Yamaha's exclusive cruiser seat is purpose-designed to give the rider and passenger(s) optimum comfort for cruising. Supporting Features for Cruising: We have used our long years of experience as a PWC manufacturer, originality and ingenuity in order to provide this model with a variety of value added features. A large analogue metre is located in the centre of the cockpit. In the tachometre mode, it provides visualisation of the sharp pickup in RPM, and it can also function as a speedometre. The Cruiser Model is provided with a multi function instrumentation panel that informs the rider of the water temperature, air temperature, direction (compass), and fuel consumption while cruising in a timely manner. The provision of watertight compartments and beverage holders on both sides of the steering column enable you to reliably access what you really want. The pull-up cleats on the side of the hull will really be appreciated by everyone when tying up, and the reboarding step has been provided to make it easier to get back on the craft when in the water.
