ATTENTION ALL PWC USERS
It has come to our attention today that there is a proposed ban of PWC users using the Harley Park (Grand Hotel) boat ramp to be voted in by Gold Coast City Council this Monday the 23rd of November at 3:00pm.
This proposal was instigated by a Labrador residential group known as NAG. This stands for the Noise Aggravation Group and consists of people who have been making complaints against jet skiers and boaties for many years. They have already had laws changed at this boat ramp in the past and will not stop until they clear out the water ways for good.
We as water lovers all have to unite and stand up for our right to use the Broadwater Waterways as we always have and not see done what has happened in Sydney Harbour in previous years.
If you want to keep the Broadwater Waterways open to use at your leisure, please do one or more of the following things to show your support and get behind keeping our Waterways open.
What you can do to help:
1. Join us for a peaceful rally outside GCCC Council Chambers from 8am - 12pm Monday the 23rd, November, 2009.
2. Phone GCCC on 1300 130 854 and tell them that you are a rate paying resident that strongly opposes this regulation.
3. email GCCC councillor Grummitt on division4@goldcoast.qld.gov.au and Mayor Ron Clark on mayor@goldcoast.qld.gov.au
Please contact your local PWC dealer for any information on this matter as all the manufacturers and dealerships will unite and fight for our right to have equall use of the Gold Coasts facilities. We own jet skis, and we also VOTE!
